Due Diligence Health Check

Australia's Model Work Health and Safety Act (WHS Act) aims to bring a consistent national approach to workplace health and safety.

Under the WHS Act all workers have a duty of care towards others in the workplace, however those members of a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) identified as Officers have additional responsibilities.

In recognition of their position and the influence they have on the way a PCBU operates, Officers must take responsibility for how their PCBU identifies and manages workplace hazards and risks.

Under the WHS Act PCBUs are required to have a system in place to ensure their Officers are aware of, and comply with, their due diligence obligations. The Due Diligence Health Check is a simple and practical online tool PCBUs can use to measure this requirement.
Officers complete the Due Diligence Health Check at their own convenience. Data is forwarded to CCI for analysis and final results are compiled and provided to the PCBU along with recommendations.
